sql server notification services:
I have a new Windows 2000 Server with SQL Server 7, and am trying to use
XP_Sendmail. The SQL Mail Service tests correctly, but when I execure
XP_Sendmail, it just sits there, and no error messages are returned.
Anybody seen this?

Probably want to try another news group. This one focuses on
Notification Services which is different than sending alerts or using
SQL Mail.

Try
microsoft.public.sqlserver.misc
microsoft.public.sqlserver.programming
microsoft.public.sqlserver.server

As an alternative, you may also want to check out Gert Drapers' extended
stored procedure for sending smtp mail. www.sqldev.net. Excellent!
