Notification Services failed to instantiate the event provider BruceN

sql server notification services:
The error I'm getting (it appears as soon as the NS service is started) is:

Method Initialize in type ProSite.RegisterEventProvider from assembly
Initialize does not have an implementation.

The class is a custom event provider I wrote and it works fine on a
different machine (my dev box) so I'm stumped and haven't been able to turn
up anything in the KB. Does anybody have a clue as to what is going wrong?
To try and eliminate permissions as an issue the instance is running under
domain administrator rights with sa access to the instance and application
dbs.

Hi BruceN,

Thanks for you posting!

From your descriptions, I understood that your custom event provider cannot
be ititialized correctly while it is OK in your develop machine. Have I
understood you? Correct me if I was wrong.

Based on my knowledge, it seems your custom event provider does not
deploied correctly. Are you sure you are making exactly the same steps you
do with your develop machine? I am trying to find more insights into this
issue and I will keep you updated as soon as I find there is anything else
valueable to add.

Sincerely yours,

Michael Cheng
