sql server notification services: Hello,
I have a install issue with the SQL Server Notification Service on Windows
Server 2003 SP1, SQL Server 2000 SP4. During install it tells me I don't
have the .NET Framework installed, How ever I'm sure I have the .NET
Framework 1.1 running on the server.

Is this a known issue?

Hi Chriss3 -

Are you trying to install SQLNS v2.0 SP1? SP1 is a full version of
SQLNS that supports v1.1 of the framework.

HI,

Yes this is a long standing issue that the MSDN discs that are going
out still have only the .net1.0 compatable version of NS that will not
install on most machines that have at least upgraded to 1.1.

I dont know why MSDN do not send out the correct version, pretty daft
after so long, but there you are . You have to download the correct one
from the microsoft site and ignore any MSDn copies that do not
explicity say SP1
