Hello All,

Win XP and I have MDAC 2.7 in that.
The SQL Server driver I use is 2000.81.9030.04.

In Microsoft SQL Server DSN Configuration, it shows SQL Authentication . But
the user id is belongs to NT. So, I changed to user to a SQL User and
connected to the database successfully.

When I restart the machine and go back to Microsoft SQL Server DSN
Configuration window, I see the user to be a NT users again, rather than the
SQL users.

Is this a problem of MDAC ?

I read the article ID: 273526 and learnt about that problem in MDAC 2.6. But
I use, MDAC 2.7.

Does MDAC 2.7 have the same problem ?

Please help

Thanks

If I understand correctly what you are describing, it shouldn't be anything
to worry about. The DSN does not store user id/password info. When
connecting via the DSN you should supply the user id and password. The
default value for the user id in the DSN configuration is the username of
the current Windows user.

Are you seeing an error or connection problem?
