sql server odbc:
I'm attempting to connect to a SQL Server named 'SQL1' using ODBC. In
doing so, I receive an error stating the login has failed for user
'null'. I don't believe this to be a SQL permissions issue because
the user in question can successfully connect to 'SQL1' from another
pc. Also, I don't think that it's an ODBC issue because I can make a
successful connection to another SQL Server from this pc. It sounds
to me that this is a pc permissions issue.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

It's hard to say without the full error message but it could
be that the failed connection was trying to use the wrong
authentication mode.
Is this ODBC connection trying to use a SQL login or Windows
authentication and what is the exact error message? What
authentication mode is the server set to?
