sql server odbc: I have created a linked server to a DB2 database that
resides on an AS400. I can successfully execute a select
statement and return rows just fine. However when I
attempt to run an update statement I receive the following
error:

Server: Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
OLE DB provider 'MSDASQL' reported an error.
ODBC: Msg 0, Level 19, State 1
SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 76 generated fatal
exception c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. SQL Server
is terminating this process.

[OLE/DB provider returned message: Data provider or
other service returned an E_FAIL status.]
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'MSDASQL'
IRowsetChange::SetData returned 0x80004005: ].

I then ran an odbc trace and was able to capture the
following error:

{"HY010","Function sequence error",-1 }

Does anybody have any idea what the problem is? I have
tried to research this but to no avail. Any help in the
right direction would be greatly apprciated.
