sql server odbc: I have an accounting system using the sql server 2000 server ..today I have A
strange problem which is unavailability of the data base ..in other words
when Iam trying to open the Enterprise manager .I will be unable to open the
database folders then it hangs and when Iam trying to open the query analyzer
it gives me error when connecting
and it logs in the event viewer
event ID : 17052
Error: 17883, Severity: 1, State: 0
The Scheduler 1 appears to be hung. SPID 11, ECID 0, UMS Context 0x035C3C68

The following is a general article on this issue and the end
of the article has links to a couple of specific issues
which can lead to the error:

Server

As the article mentions, hot fix 8.00.765 will give you a
bit more information and generate a mini-dump when SQL
Server detects a stalled scheduler. If you can't track down
the issue through the information in the logs and the dump
file and the other knowledge base articles don't apply, it's
generally best to contact Microsoft product support.
