ok heres the scenario.
I have my SQL2000 server on a Windows 2003 and its also on a AD2003 domain

I have another server with is Windows 2003 and it was on the AD2003 domain
but I had to put it in a workgroup for security reasons. Now my server cant
get to the server server anymore. I can ping the server fine and I even used
the IP Address in ODBC but I get the following error from ODBC. For some
reason since my server is in a workgroup, it cant use ODBC to that sql server
thats still in the AD2003 domain.

Heres the error

Conneciton Failed
SQLState '01000'
SQL Server error 1326
Microsft ODBC SQL Server Driver DBNetLib ConnectionOpen Connect
COnneciton Failed
SQLState '08001
SQL Server Error 17

Sql Server does not exist or Access denied.

Thanks

also, this was a proxy server with multiple nic cards and ip addresses. I
did a tracrt route sand I can get to my sql servers fine. I also tested
other sql server and I cant get to nay of them so the problem is on the non
sql server that is using ODBC to get to the SQL Server.

Thanks.

ok I figured it out. It was because I needed a access rule in my proxy
server..

Thanks.
