Where did MS put SQL 2005 DTS packages that are saved? I'm waiting on a book
and trying to discover the new UI.

Hi Scott,
DTS is under the Legacy node under Management.

As you can see by the title (Legacy) DTS is on the way out
kind regards

Hi Scott,

Do you mean, where does SQL 2005 save legacy 2000 DTS packages or where does
it save SSIS (new name for the DTS rewrite) packages?

You now have an 'Integration Services' engine that you connect to in order
to manage packages, packages are stored as XML and can be saved in the File
System or MSDB.

Sounds like you saved it into the file system.

If you connect to the 'Integration Services' on the machine in Management
Studio, you can tree down to STored Packages and right click on the File
Ssytem/MSDB and import the package.

Tony.
