Even thought account is fine try to go to the 'Services' and update account information for the SQL Server process. Just type in password again and click Apply. It will reregister account information. Regards --------------------------------------- All information provided above AS IS. Hi I have an SQL server, which (for some unknown reason) will not start as a service. Whenever it is tried to start (either using SCM, NET START, or Enterprise Manager), it reports the following error: "System error 1058 has occurred. The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." The service tries to start under a domain level account, which also has local admin rights on the machine. Nothing has changed with the account, and nothing appears to be wrong with it (ie. its not expired). I can logon interactively as the same account, and start SQLSERVR.EXE from a CMD prompt, and all appears to start without a problem. When started in this way, no errors are reported, and I can successfully connect to the DB's, from Query Analyser. Can anyone offer any help?? Thanks Paul MCSD, MCDBA
Hi I have tried this, but without success. Any more ideas?
