Can not get rid of publisher because database was deleted

sql server replication:

Hello, I removed replication and then deleted a
database. Now in my replication however I still have the
snapshot and the merge but I can not delete the publisher
because the db is no longer in the list. I guess when I
thought I removed the replication I just disabled it.
Any suggestions how to get rid of the agents?

Ive had this happen before too. I had to manually delete
the system tables. Probably the mspublisher_databases
table but you'll need to do some digging as I really dont
recall right now.
