sql server replication: Yes, you can setup replication between two databases within the same SQL
Server. It would effectively mean that the Publisher, Distributor as well as
Subscriber are on the same machine.

SQL Server Books Online is the best place to start for replication.

Hi,

my PC at home has sql 2k and win 2k server on it. Is it possible to set up
replication on this machine so that I can experiment with it.

Do I have to install seperate instances of sql 2k to do this or can I
implement it on a single instance.

I have not played with replication before, can anybody recommend any good
resources.

cheers

martin.
