sql server replication: Hi everyone.
I'm have a bunch of SQL 6.5 - 2000 servers that are replicating data via batch insert jobs every 5 mins.
I don't know why this method was chosen over standard replication
Does anyone have any idea why this method would be used
What are the recourses constraints when using replication
Are there any known issues with replication

I am guessing speed. If the data flow is going from SQL 6.5 to SQL 2000 it
could have been done by replication via an odbc subscriber.

It is possible that the bulk inserts massage the data for SQL 2000.
