sql server replication:
I have compiled the demo app and deployed onto a device, however, it will not
replicate and I can't get pas the first screen that asks for the server name.

The SQL Mobile .DLL files are accessible on HTTPS on the IIS (hosted on
Windows XP SP2, Firewall is turned off) through a normal web browser. I have
opened permissions up about as wide as then can go on the files.

I am getting the following error:

===============
Error Code: 80072EE7
Nessage: a request to send data to the computer running IIS has failed. For
more information, see HRESULT.
Minor Err: 28037
Source: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition
===============

Generally this error suggests a lack of connectivity on the hand held
device, however, the hand held is able to browse to the website and see the
..DLLs under PIE. IIS and SQL 2005 are on the same machine, however, the PPC
2003 SE emulator and the PPC 2003 Device are both using the network
connection on my machine. All traffic is local to the LAN.

Additionally, if I try to create a SQL Mobile DB under the SQL 2005 Manager
and subscribe to the subscription I get the same error running everything on
the local machine.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? The demo app seems to
have very little documentation on setting things up, and SQL 2005 Beta does
have some issues with the tools used to create and manage Publications if you
are not in Visual Studio 2005.

I had to make my ibuyspy virtual directory anonymous, change the underlying
security, and then change the authentication mechanism to anonymous on my
PDA to get this to work.
