this is correct. The difficult bit is the (legal) lack of front-end tools to
keep an eye on the whole thing. I have some scripts on

Just about to begin work on an app that will likely need to use SQL 2K
replication...

Question: will we be able to use the replication "features" with only MSDE
2K installed (not a full SQL license)? Or does using replication require use
of Ent Manager (or any other s/w not part of the MSDE engine)?

Excuse this post. I did some more reading, and it appears that it's possible
to use only MSDE on both ends, except that transactional publisher isn't
supported.

(or did I miss something?)
