sql server replication:
I have been running ftp replication for some time and recently thousands of
records have gone AWOL from the master database. The majority of the records
appear to be PractiseAnswers which contains Practises answers to Questions
(all uniqueidentifiers) i.e.:

rowguid
PractiseID
QuestionID
AnswerID

I've been thinking that the problem may be related to a new user who
attached a subscription file that was created about 6 months ago
(subscriptions never expire). It may be that the answers missing are related
to questions added after the initial subscription was created, I can't tell
for sure. Is this possible?

Does anybody have any ideas as to why a synchronisation for a new subscriber
would automatically delete so many records? When the ftp subscriber first
synchronises should it be to a blank database (so that the tables are
automatically created)?

Does the conflict viewer show anything?

It doesn't Hilary. There are only a few "usual suspects" in the conflict
viewer.
