sql server replication : Guest account in the Distribution database

Hi,

I noticed that the "guest" account gets created by default and assigned to
the Distribution database. We are using transactional replication with
updatable subscribers and anonymous subscriptions and need to be able to
remove the guest account from the distribution db.

- Is it possible to remove the guest account from the dist. db and still use
anonymous subscriptions?

- If not, is there any security vulnerability or risk associated with
leaving the guest account assigned or using anonymous subscriptions?

- Any gotchas in configuring non-anonymous subscriptions with trans-repl and
updatable subscribers?

Thanks !

The guest account is in every database. Anonymous subscribers don't use it.

By default I believe the guest account is disabled. I don't know what the
consequences of removing it are.
