sql server replication:
I have gone through the steps of configuring morring with SQL 2005 (latest
patch is installed) and when I click "start mirroring" I get a 1418 error
message. I have also gone through the steps of creating/configuring my end
points and granting permissions to these end points using T-SQL. When I
issue the ALTER DATABASE [ABC] SET PARTNER = N'TCP://xyz.123.aaa.etc:5022' I
get the same error message. In this later I am able to confirm that my TCP
ports are open and listening.

Some help from someone who has successfully configured mirroring would be
helpful.

Yes, we're operating on Windows Server 2003 and the ports are open and
listening. I can telnet to the port on either server from either server but
SQL Server cannot make the connection when I start mirroring. SQL Server
Surface Area configuration indicates that both servers are allowing incoming
connections.
