It should work, you will probably need to create the SQL 2005 server as an
ODBC subscriber.

Assuming the distributor is SQL Server 7.0 or SQL Server 2000 this should be
fine (see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143241.aspx).

Hi i need to know how would it be possible to configure SQL 2005 and 7 to
replicate with each other.

SQL 7 will need to be the publisher and SQL 2005 will be the subscriber. SQL
2005 will not update back any data to SQL 7 but just read the changes made
and store it into the sql 2005 database.

Is this only done via scripting because i cant get the either enterprise
manager or the SQL Management studio to talk to each other.
