Hi everybody,

I want to setup a FTP replication ( snapshot or transactionnal) other 2
SQL 2000 server ( S1 and S2) accross non trust domains ( domain A and
domain B).

neither S1 , nor S2 can have IIS set. So i want to use an FTP server on
domain B to acts as snapshot folder.

Do you have some advices allowed me doing this.

RM : I read lots of method that use IIS on the publisher , but I can't
because neither S1 nor S2 can be reached other the web.

Thank you for reading me.

You can park your ftp server anywhere on your network as long as the
publisher and subscribers can reach it. The Publisher will have to be able
to do a local copy to a local drive or a network drive, so it will need
read, list files and folders, and write rights to the share or folder which
the ftp server is on. The subscriber will merely need to be able to access
the ftp site.
