I take it you mean you are using the ActiveX control. The setting there is
ExchangeType.

i have a merge replication set up between sql 2005 and express edition
running on about 60 laptops. in addition to regular data users can also
submit files, files get stored in varbin field. i am trying to figure out if
it would be possible to have these files uploaded only, i.e server gets that
info but it is not propagated to other subscribers. there is an option to

Try upload as the exchangeType. This is done on a subscriber basis so all
articles will be upload only. You can toggle this back and forth between
syncs.
