Roland,
as far as I know, the FTP applies to the transmission of the snapshot files,
but agent traffic is necessary to update the system tables. There are
alternative 3rd party products to do solely file-based synchronization.

Hi there

Is ist possible to configure an replication via FTP without any traffic
through port 1433 (agent traffic)?
I use Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
