sql server replication : Can Replication Alert be written to Event Viewer ?

Hi ,

I would want my replication alert to write a log into the Event view , how
can i do that ?

i looked thru the Replication Alert properties but dun seem to be able to
find some method

how can i actually do that ? and if codings are required how shld it be
written

appreciate any advise

Open up the replication alerts folder, double click on the alert you are
interested, click on the browse button (the three ellipses), click on the
edit button, select always write to the Windows Event Log.

I'm not too sure if there's a better way, but as a workaround you could
execute a job which contains xp_logevent.
