sql server replication: Hi,

My SQL server is version 2000. I am trying to get email alert when any of my
distribution agents is down. I have set up Outlook XP and able to
send/receive email. I have set up SQL mail to use that profile. In
Replication alert, I enabled agent fail, but I still fail to receive alert
email. Two problems found are below:
1. No log is generated in application event even if I checked “Always write
to Windows event log”.
2. Get error message when I doing a test. It said: Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC
SQLState: 42000). Error 22022: SQLServerAgent Error: The SQLServerAgent mail
session is not running; check the mail profile and/or the SQLServerAgent
service startup account in the SQLServerAgent Properties dialing.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
