sql server replication : Synchronize data without connecting the servers

There is no file-based solution in SQL Server replication (there was a 3rd
party tool advertised on the newsgroup a while back that did this).
Can you connect via HTTPS? This might be an option for you if you're on SQL
Server 2005.

Hi,
I have a environment where 4 sql server databases on 4 boxes are subscribers
to a central publisher.
Replication is implemented as a Merge publication with 4 push subscriptions.
What I'm wondering about is:
Is there any way that I can synchronize one of the subscribers with the
central publisher without connecting the two servers?. I mean If i got
something from the database as backup on CD or tape, and mounted thos on the
publisher, can i do something to upload subscriber changes?

thanks
Fadi
