sql server replication: SQL 2005 merge replication, pull subscriptions only, clients are
SQL2005 or 2005 express.

Using replicaition monitor, I enabled a couple warnings and set
thresholds. I also enabled/configured alerts to send emails to myself.
The warnings work, but no emails get generated, (no events are written
to the windows event log either - which is how the pre-canned alerts
are setup).

In order to test the alerts, I enabled the Replication: agent failure
alert, and it works fine. When a merge fails, the proper event is
written to the event log and the alert fires.

What am I missing, when setting up the warnings/alerts in replication
monitor? How do I get the alerts to fire for the thresholds I setup
there.

TIA,

john g.

Do the test emails go out successfully?
