Lock Replication tables -- sql server replication

sql server replication : Lock Replication tables

Hi,

I need to perform a maintenance batch process on tables that are being
replicated on some tablet PC's. Is it possible to lock these tables so that
replication is not performed during the batch process.

you can stop the agents while maintenance is going on.
