I am getting the following error when I try to perform a merge
replication:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------

Internal error: HTTP header information is either corrupted or missing
in the transport message. It could be a network transmission error or
an IIS problem.
HRESULT 0x80072F76 (28035)

Anyone have a clue what this could be?

I have run a "sqlcesa30.dll?diag" and everything comes back correctly.
Between the subscriber and the publisher I am running ISA 2006, but
when looking at the monitor it is not stopping any traffic between the
two IPs. I also turned off http compression on the ISA server.

Here is the information from the "wizard" in the management studio:

I know it's quite old but in case anyone also came across this (google shows
only 2 results for that exception) - for me this was caused by (beep -
censorship) Norton Internet Security firewall. Despite adding localhost to
trusted zone it seems it's messing with http headers. Disabling it allows the
client to synchronize, after enabling it again throws this exception. As a

Hi we get this error message too quite often and tell our customers to
disable anti-virus or firewalls temporarily.

But recently, we had a customer who is getting this error by syncing
directly through thier WIFI network, not cradled through a PC, so it seems
there is some hardware firewall or something on their network. We are getting
nowhere with this and there is little details about this error on the
internet or in this newgroup.
