sql server replication : Laptop clients timing out using a pull replication (some clients)

Can anyone help with QueryTimeOut value,
I have a replicated database with snapshot run every 30 minutes. The
subscribers are Sales Reps with laptops using "pull" subscriptions. A few
weeks ago, a number of laptops started getting a S1T00 ODBC timmeout error
trying to do a synchronize. Is there a way to change the default Distribution
Agent's QueryTimeOut value ? If I create a new Distribution Agent (with
increased timeout) and select Change all subscribers to use new agent, can I
swap back quickly if there are problems ? Do you know if this would cause all
subscribers to get re-initialized ?

Joe,
when you say "create a new Distribution Agent" I think you are referring to
a new profile. If this is the case you can do this without reinitializing
and it'll be used on the next synchronization. Any hardcoded settings in the
distribution agent's job steps will override the new profile though so first
remove these if there are any.

Paul,

Thanks, that did the trick.
