Absolutely!

You will probably need to either do push merge subscriptions, or do pull and
use Windows Synchronization Manager, or an ActiveX control or some other
programmatic method to manage the pull.

If you need more help post back here and someone will "hold your hand" while
you do it.

Hi Guys,

Am very new to replication and would like to request some advice about solving
the following problem. I have a main database running on Sql Server 2005
Standard. A copy of this database is also running on Sql Server 2005 Express
on 3 laptops used by reps in the field. The reps make updates to their database
which must then be synchronised with the main database. Based on what I've
read thus far, merge replication seems to be the correct option but I also
know that Sql Server 2005 Express is missing some replication functionality.
It merge replication possible between my main and my local database?

Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for your help.

Pet

Hello Hilary,

I have never heard of using Windows Synchronisation Manager in this way before;
I shall look into it - thanks! :)

Cheers,

Pete

Hello Hilary,

Me again, I'm afriad. Can you give me a little more information about push
merge subscriptions or maybe a link to a document that will help me to understand
it better.

Thanks,

Peter
