sql server reporting services:
Hi All, I have win2k3 Ent. Server running Sharepoint Portal Server. I have
installed Reporting Server on it now.
I am unable to access the report server as it throws me Internal Server
Error 500.
During the Set up of Reporting Svc. I got a message saying I will have to
reconfigure Reporting Server later manually ... I have no clue how to make
Share Point and Reporting run vis a vis.

Any help?

TIA

Hello TIA,
There is an excellent step through in the Reporting Services Books Online
(that should be accessible in your installation of Reporting Services) that
describes what you need to do to exclude the report server virtual
directories(https://hostname/reports and http:/hostname/reportserver ) from
the SharePoint installation and then activate the Reporting Services web
service via rsactivate. Just search for "SharePoint" The article is called,
"Troubleshooting a Side-by-Side Installation of Reporting Services and
Windows SharePoint Services."
Sincerely,
