sql server reporting services:

We have 6 Report Parameters (6 combos ). Each combo is attached to a Data
Set. The default value for all the combos we mentioned it as NonQuery and set
it with constant "All". When the report is launched for the first time, we
see that 18 calls are made to populate the combos (3 calls for each combo).
While on the clicking of â€œview Reportâ€ button we see it is called 12 times.
On change of any combo all the combo's are getting refreshed and 6 calls are
made to the database.

Any one has idea why this many calls are being made. Is there a way to reduce
the number of calls to the database.
