sql server reporting services: When trying to import reports from Access to SQL server reporting services
through Visual Studio.NET, iam getting the error as "An error occurred while
the report rptWIP was being imported: Reserved Error".

No other additional information was given in the tasklist to debug it.
I tried browsing the net and i could not able to find a solution in any of
the sites / groups.

If you have any information on this error, can you help me out?

Thanks in advance...

I found that I got errors if there was a problem with the select statement
on the report or if any of the controls were not bound to field names that
don't exist. You can also see if there is any difference between importing
from an ADP versus and MDB.

Good luck

Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot of the post..

The select query perfectly runs in Access and it doesn't have any problem in
syntax.
However, i removed the WHERE clause in the query and tried to import it. In
that case it imported perfectly..

When the query contains many '(' and ')' symbols, I believe there may be
some query parsing error during the import process. But i'm not sure about
it.

I dint get much time to investigate on it.
