sql server reporting services:
I have an Analysis Services OLAP cube with about 40,000 rows in the
fact table, and a dimension with four levels- Office, Employee,
Client, and Matter.

Browsing the cube is instant, but RS reports created with the cube
take about 30 seconds to render, and I'm using a parameter so am only
dealing with 10% of the cube data at a time. Rendering the report uses
about 250 Megs of RAM on the web server.

The slowness may be caused by RS trying to rollup calculations on the
measures cube...the report is a table which can be expanded to each of
the lower three levels (the top level is the parameter).

Does anyone know how to improve performance?

Thanks,

I have the same problem.
I have a cube with 3 dimensions. The query goes "fast" (about 2 seconds). But when I try to see the report in the server it takes at least 40 seconds. If I try to see it in a client it goes slowly...

I would like to know any way to accelerate the process. My cube refreshes data once per day. I think it's a way to create views or snapshots of a report but I don't know how.

Anyone konws it?

Thanks for any response.
