I know everybody is talking about installing the reporting service onto a web farm. But doing that requires extra sql server licenses. What I would like to do is have a drop down that would basically have a list of countries. When the user selects the USA, another drop down in the report prompt would have a filtered list of states in the USA. Finally, the user would select a state and a third drop down would have a list of cities...more >>

I just installed report server on my test server. I got this error when access http://localhost/reports. "Access denied to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting Services\ReportManager\BIN'. Failed to start monitoring file changes. ". Accessing Reporting Services by other than machine name.

When reporting services is installed the machine name is configured by default eg: http://MAIN/Reports, however, if I try to access the reporting services machine by other than the machine name I receive an error. Bar Graph's Y Axis as 10k, 20k, 30k

Hi, The Y-axis value on my Bar Graph displays as 10000, 20000, 30000 . . not good aesthetics and not legible when figure goes beyond 6 in size I need to show it as 10k, 20k, 30k, like Crystal Reports does by default... How can i do this ? Thanks...more >>
