sql server reporting services : Cannot connect to SQL 2005 Reporting Services
In SQL Server Management Studio, I try to connect to the Reporting Services.
I got the following messages. 'Cannot connect to KSIU-LT\SQL2005' Additional information: The request failed with HTTP status 407:Proxy Access Denied I installed the SQL 2005 Developer Edition Sep CTP in XP Professional. and the Reporting services is started.

all SQL 2005 services are installed locally, including Reporting Services 2005.

Let's go back a step. If you have everything installed locally, did you choose (I have to think hard here - a checkbox?) the option to use the default configuration at install? Or did you customise it later? Also if you use your browser to navigate to http://localhost/reports and http://localhost/reportserver what do you get? If I understand your situation correctly it is this: 1. Report Manager is working correctly (I assume it is listing folders and reports and will display reports, as selected) 2. Using http://localhost/reportserver fails to list the reports you see in Report Manager. Is that correct? 3. You cannot access Reporting Servers from SQL Server Management Studio. From SQL Server Management Studio if you try to use Registered Servers to register a new reporting service and call it . (a single period character) can you connect? the http://localhost/reports look like working fine, but the http://localhost/reportserver didn't work. (I think). It show localhost//ReportServer on the title and didn't have any meaningful content. at the bottom it say Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 9.00.1314.00. the services is not up and running. 1. I don't know. as I need to use vs to connect to the reporting services to
