Hi ??,
I just upgraded from July to September this weekend.....the only way to
do it that I found was to get rid of everything assocaited with SQL
Server including the underlying .net framework using the remove
programs control panel and then re-install....

It is a beta and you have to expect that nothing will be saved from one
drop to the next....as far as I am aware you cannot save your reporting
services databases betwenn different versions...it asked me to remove
them....it also even insisted on removing the virtual directories for
report services off my web server.....

Hope this helps..

In trying to assess what your current situation may be it would be
useful to know what OS you are installing on and which components you
attempted to install. As background, had you had earlier builds of SQL
Server 2005 / Visual Studio 2005 on the machine?
