sql server reporting services : SQL 2005: Move Rpt Server

We're building a replacement box for our existing SQL 2k5 report server, and
I was wondering how I would go about transferring the existing database(s) to
it. I'm hoping I won't have to re-deploy everything, re-configure all the
settings, etc. The new system will also be SQL Server 2005, but it will be
the 64 bit version (Standard) instead of 32 bit.

Is there a safe way to do this?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Tom,

Welcome to use MSDN Managed Newsgroup!

From your descriptions, I understood you would like to know what's the best
way to move Report Server in SQL Server Reporting Server 2005. If I have
misunderstood your concern, please feel free to point it out.

Based on my knowledge, you can move a report server database to another SQL
Server instance using any of the supported techniques for moving SQL Server
databases from one computer to another. Moving the report server database
disables the connection to the report server. After you move the report
server database, you must reconfigure the connection information, which is
stored as an encrypted value in the rsreportserver.confg file.
