Aligning Matrices in a report Jsarna

sql server reporting services:
I have a report that requires 3 matrices side by side, each with
different datasets. The rows are the same in each. I have set all the
properties of the cells to be the same, but the 3 don't line up, I lose
some space each row so that the bottom cells don't line up across the
page.

Any idea what the problem may be? They all have the same row grouping
and subtotals.

This is in RS 2000.

Joe,

Do they NOT line up - meaning the whole matrix? or the results?
if its the results:
1) Try setting the Automatic Resize OFF in the Cell options.
or
2) make sure all the cell properties are the same.

Ok I just reread your problem and relized that really wouldn't help.
Perhaps making all the columns wider making all the content 1 liners
help?

Are the 3 matrices contained in a rectangle object? The rectangle should
help in lining up multiple objects. You could also try placing the matrices
in a list based on the same group. Then wrap the 3 matrices in a rectangle
and nest it in the list object.

After closer looking at the output, it appears that the height of the
subtotal of the first grouping is slightly larger than the subtotal in
the other matrix. Since there are a few subtotals in the page, it
throws off the alignment. I cannot find any place to set the padding
or borders for the subtotal rows created. I clicked on the green
arrows and set the values there to the same, but that does not seem to
help.

Strange that it exports fine to both PDF and Excel, so it is a
rendering issue.
