You don't need Visual Studio on the box where you install Reporting
Services.
I guess it's a reminder that you need to have Visual Studio somewhere, so
you can make the reports. It should be on a dev box, not on the server.
On the other hand, to create the reports, you need to run the Reporting
Services installation on your dev box. Don't install the full solution, you
need to install the Report Designer, that is part of the RS installation.
You need the RD to be able to create Business Intelligence projects and off
course the reports.
