I know this is jumping the gun a bit, but my company is about to move to a
Reporting Services platform and rewrite a ton of reports. With that being
said there are also alot of features being talked about that we want to use
in the coming 2005 version of Reporting Services. I am not sure if this can

While I certainly can not speak to Microsoft's intentions, I have been using
the beta RS for SQL 2005 for a while now and the RDL looks very similar, and
a lot of the functionality is very similiar, I beleive conversion wil be

We do have some changes coming in RDL but we will be backward compatible
with SQL 2000 RDLs.

Just adding to Brian's comment: RS 2000 reports (RDLs) will get upgraded
automatically to the RS 2005 RDL namespace e.g. when loading them in the RS
2005 report designer. RS 2000 reports should work on RS 2005 without any
changes.
