sql server reporting services : SQLServerAgent Not Running Error

I have installed Reporting Services on a test server with an installation of
SQL Server 2000. I created a simple report in VS2003 and deployed the report.
I can log on to the server and open the Report Manager and execute the
report. It displays in the browser just fine. I have two issues:

1) If I browser to the server to run the report, I am allowed to log on and
I get the Reporting Services Home page but there is nothing on the page to
select from.

2) With the report open in Report Manager I can enter all data for a
subscription but when I click OK, I receive an error that SQL Server Agent is
needed but is paused or disabled. Opening Services, it can be seen that
SQLServerAgent is started. I stopped them started the service and I even
rebooted the server but I contuinue to receive the same message.

Windows Server 2003
IIS6
SQL Server 2000
More than adequate server horsepower.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is possibly a permissions thing. Check that the account used to run RS
has RSExecRole rights in MSDB.

Is RS running with a windows account or a sql account? If it is a windows
account try giving it local administrator rights and see if it can work out
the service is running.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for your response. I changed the account from the Network account
that was setup by default to my administrator account with the same results.
Any other thoughts?

Thanks,

J
