sp2 via the URL with parameters?

AFAIK, there is no straight forword method to use it within URL parameters.
There is a way within naming the Version of the Active Control, but when it
will change due to a hotfix or service pack your URL will be invalid. Where
do you want to call the URL, just in the browser, or in some kind of front
end application ?
