sql server reporting services: Does there exist another possibility to develop RS Reports than using VS
..NET? I could enter XLS into notepad, yes :) but maybe anything more
comfortable??

There are third party tools. You can check with the MS website for partners.
Also, today you have to have some version of VS (the cheapest is to buy
VB.Net for about $100). With RS 2005 (release date Nov of this year) the
report designer will integrate with VS if you have it, otherwise it ships
with a design environment so no additional purchase is necessary. Also, note
that a new end user tool (power end user in my book) called Report Builder
will also be released as part of RS 2005. This is a web based design
environment that allows end users to create reports.
