Is there any way to rotate the x axis labels?

If I have one long value it turns all my axis labels veritcal. I would
rather have them all at 45 degrees.

I've also found that you can force the axis labels vertical in some cases by
putting the legend at the left or right side of the chart, rather than above
or below.
