user-specific problem w/column groups PMcW

sql server reporting services:
I have a matrix report with hierarchical grouping that i've deployed to
several end-users. The report contains 3 tiers of column groups and their
corresponding counts/subtotals. Initially, only the 1st tier's data is
visible. The 2nd and 3rd tiers' visibility can be toggled by the 1st and 2nd
tier headers, respectively. Some users have expressed that they're unable to
see the 2nd (and consequently 3rd) tier header text and the +/- visibility
toggle. This poses a problem as the report contents become a bit of a
mystery, and they're also not able to drill-through to a couple of other
reports, to which the missing headers serve as links. To reiterate, this
issue only affects A FEW end-users. I haven't been able to recreate the
issue
on my PC, and the report is working as designed for all other users. Has
anyone else run into situations like this? Could this perhaps be related to
the effected users' browser settings?

Thanks in advance...

It turns out that, in all cases, effected users were running IE 5.5 SP2.
It's still TBD whether or not upgrading to a more recent version solves the
problem for everyone.
