sql server reporting services : ReportServerService running at 99% CPU and using 1 GB of memory

The ReportServerService is running at 99% CPU and using 1 GB of memory on
Windows Server 2003. When we restart the service or the server,
ReportServerService starts running away again. This server was working OK in
the past - this problem just recently started.

Does anyone have any idea what might cause this?

Thanks,

What version are you running? If you don't have SP2 installed I suggest
trying that. Otherwise, I haven't seen this reported here before. I've seen
something similar but restarting the service would clear it up but in your
case this doesn't help.

Found the problem - a subscription was trying to render a large report to
Excel, but it failed and then retried continually. I had to delete the
subscription.
