sql server reporting services:

I installed the report server on the web server, and the report server
database is hosted using a remote SQL server instance. Everything used to
work. A few days ago, I got the following error message in the System log of
the web server: Source: Service Control Manager. The ReportServer service
terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following
corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Now when I access http://webserver/reports, nothing shows up. If I access
http://webserver/reportserver, I get the error message in the browser: The
RPC server is not listening.

Are you using an evaluation version that has expired? If so the service will
no longer start and you need to obtain a full version. See:
