Hi,
I want to find out what version our SQL Reporting services box is on. When I
go to http://<serverName>/reportServer, I get the following

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version 8.00.1042.00

I would like to know what each version number is.

ie:
8.00.????.00 - base install
8.00.????.00 - SP1
8.00.????.00 - SP2
8.00.????.00 - future releases

base install = 743
sp1 = 878
sp2 = 1042
Future releases = we won't know till we get there.

Of course if the report server has been patched with a hot fix it will have
a version number for that patch which will be greater then it's base version
and less then the next release.

Just to clarify: SP2 = 1038
Build 1042 is a QFE released later and based on SP2.

1042? do you mean 1038? if not, what is 1038? (I have it installed, and I
thought it was SP2.)

Thanks in advance,
John

Yes, I meant 1038. 1042 was a QFE build number. Sorry for the confusion.
