OK - I found the answer. I went into Administrative tools, Services and took
a look at the World Wide Wed Publishing Service dependencies. On this
particular machine there was a dependancy to an application called NovaView
Intelligence Server. I changed that service to manual load, tried the install
again and hey presto... (it worked).
